My name is Captain Dan Gaul and I own and operate Dead Reckoning Sport Fishing. I have been in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and trapping most of my life. The outdoors was always a hobby, something to do in my spare time. 8 years ago I bought a small 17’ boat and started fishing on Lake Erie. That is where I became obsessed with catching walleye and built a passion for the sport. 3 boats later and my USCG captain license, Dead Reckoning Sport Fishing was created. I have had many people help me along the way to learn this sport. Everyone from close friends to experienced charter captains, tournament fisherman and local bait shops.
